Well now, we do have those women here that are not quite "delicate" or "feminine" in some people's eyes who work with power tools, if you know what I mean!!! Wink LOL They going to show our women building and repairing their homes, plumbing, cars, etc.? That's part of it, isn't it?
Maybe they could do a show called SuperMom too!!! Thumbs Up

If it's like the Ice Road Truckers program, then I would think it would be OK and I would definitely watch it! Thumbs Up

Ok... this isnt putting anyone down.. but rather saying they have interresting lives.... If I could pick 3 ladies from this site to do the show.. It would be

1. Amanda
2. Gayle
3. Jo

Now who would watch an episode based around them 3 ladies!!!! See Jo walking her mailbox and fixing frozen toilet pipes. See Amanda dealing with the boys and farm. And Gayle... Well she is pretty quiet on here, I'd like to see her in real life... LOL

OK, I personally would not do the show, I have NO life! LOL!!

My 3 people from here would be:

Bims - she would give the tell it like it is side of being a truckers wife

Jill - she is proof that even though they are gone sometimes weeks or months at a time you can still have a great loving family with lots of wonderful kids

Dince - cause well she is Dince! LOL

Thanks Kim...you are a sweetheart.

Okay, I have to pick 3 it would have to be

Paula(oklahmouse) because I would love to see her homesteading lifestyle. I find it so interesting...but I think her husband isn't driving anymore so I don't know if that counts or not.

Tee - you are the martha stewart of trucker wives (well, before martha's jail time anyway)

Kelly - and I know your husband is no longer with us but for her dedication to truckers wives and your ability to keep the site going. You are a godsend to many ladies on here.

Oh oh oh.. Idea just came to me.... Speaking of Mousie... Kelly or MJ could also throw the idea that after she does the trucker show. She can do a show on homesteading in America.. Show the life not many live nowadays, but keep going for the sake of family or what have you.

Mandy for her gift of grease.....and her ability to use POWER TOOLS (girl after my own heart)

Andrea for her abilities to tow trampolines with a single van.....and find humor in just about any thing

and of course Tee because ....well because shes Tee and shes wonderful !!! Dance

I'm flattered that you though of me Andrea. I did send in a short email. If I hear anything back I'll let you all know. Not too keen on the idea of my awful house being on national tv but . . its real life so it is what it is. It is also part of what makes life so interesting around here (ie . . thawing pipes in the winter)

I got a call from Amy Kohn today. Of course Emily answered my phone and I thought it was a telemarketer at first so I hung up LOL. She called back again and we talked for about a half hour. She is sending me some more info in the next few days and we will start the first stage of this project.

Hey think of it this way... Most of those shows pay... I know wife Swap pays 20,000 .... sooooooo Bill money, fun money?

Another ATW I thought of was Mandy. Be funny to see her calling Tim to tell him how to fix his truck.

I think it's an awesome idea. Society has absolutely no idea what sort of burdens ATW bears. Heck, we pretty much bear almost all of it on the home front. In addition, it might make some women with regular ole 9-5 husbands appreciate their men a tiny bit more when the realize that we are counting down the seconds just to SEE our men.

I also think it would be a great idea as long as it was kept tactful. I would even love to be on it. But I doubt they'd ever come to my town lol. I live in the middle of nowhere Texas lol. You'd really get the hick impression from a lot of us around here lol.

I think it would be good maybe even open people eyes as to what truckers really do. To what their families go threw while they are away. Also it would be interesting to let the world see all the things we do that men usually do in the realationship. I wont be signing up for one because i am way too shy two everytime hubby to be leave I am a emotional mess. I would watch it thought hope they air it.

You can take the man out of a truck, but cant take the trucker out of a man.

I count the days till he comes home.
favorite thing to hear im bob tailing home, in the hammer lane
