Well I will tell you that even though we commune here on the board, there is nothing like being together. Here are some things I discovered that just totally blew me away...

1. One member flew for the first time just to go to ATW Convention.

2. Someone drove long distance by herself for the first time.

3. We were treated like queens at the hotel by the General Manager.

4. A wonderful singer/songwriter (Rob Anthony) performed his new hit about OUR lifestyle and felt it was a priviledge to do it.

5. The hug of another ATW member is extreme empowerment.

6. My trucker is the reason why I am here.

7. Through extreme hardship, an ATW member found peace because of what Kelly has developed.

8. A non-trucking person has decided to persue a trucker husband - LOL!!!!

There are these things and more that I wish I could express in words but it is difficult. All are loved here at ATW and when we get together it is a most powerful force that makes a huge difference in this world. Hopefully more of you can join us in the future and show everyone what we are truly standing for - Respect for what our truckers do!

Ok where is the tissue alert???? I love that and can say from experience that even though I didn't make convention this year that I have had the pleasure of meeting a few ladies here and it was great. Thanks for sharing that. Hugs and all that mushy stuff.

mj you sure put it words i could not have came up with .every one is so awesome and believe it or not we got preety close in that short time we was together.Personally it was an eye opener that there is really great and true women out there that just act themselfs and not put on a show either in person or not and they r not fake.this convention has been such an eye opener for me .and tell stacy to hurry up and find her a trucker lol then she can come to my part of the woods lol any way i just want to thank kelly and all my atw sisters for being there no matter what love you guys. More things I learned.

1. Educating women is empowering women.

2. Everyone has the ability to impact other's lives. Some you will know about, some you won't.

3. Linda Sharp puts on on heck of an awesome truck show!

4. Climbing up on the hood of a semi is not as easy as you think!

5. God places people where they need to be, when they need to be there.

6. ATW women love my husband, even if they never knew him. This is something my children and I will be able to treasure forever.

7. When you meet Cindy, wear a suit of armour, she has AMAZING hugging abilities!

Thank you all.. not only the amazing souls I met at convention, but to each and every one of you who make the words "Support Site" a reality!!!

It was truly awesome to meet these incredible ladies. Yes, Dince does an indescrible hug, but I'm gonna have to drive down there once a month, at least, just to get another. Y'all need to know...that hangover this morning (okay, so it took a while to catch up...lol) was Jill and Tammy's fault!!! Oh, we had a great time!!! But we need to have an extra day for the good byes.

And Kelly, you looked great on the hood of that truck!!

I learned that no matter how much someone would try to bring you down, those true friends would come out there and give you a big hug and make you feel so much better.

The convention was more fun than I thought it would be. Meeting everyone was wonderful.
Flying was not bad at all, guess you all were right after all.
