FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THIRD ANNUAL ATW CONVENTION PROVES GOOD THINGS REALLY DO COME IN THREES
For the third year in a row, the backbone of the backbone of North America - the women and families of truck drivers - gather to share friendship, knowledge and experience at the A Truckers Wife (ATW) Annual Convention; ATW brings talented singer/songwriter Rob Anthony, seasoned trucker/Indie recording artist Don Whatley, and women’s empowerment phenom Ellen Voie to Dallas, TX

Good things really do come in threes! On August 19th and 20th 2008 the Third Annual A Truckers Wife Convention (www.atruckerswife.org) will be held as an auxiliary conference to the 10th Annual Great American Trucking Show (GATS) in Dallas, TX. The third annual ATW Convention will feature three incredible personalities - one for her third year as key-note speaker, one sharing his third solo album, and one through his 3rd million miles - proof positive that good things really do come in threes.

The 2008 ATW Convention theme is Heart to Heart - following the prior years‘ themes of Face to Face and Coast to Coast. Scheduled activities and events focus on empowering women in household, financial and relationship management and other matters relevant to the trucking industry.

Noted author and women’s empowerment phenom Ellen Voie returns for her third year as the ATW Convention’s key-note speaker. She will share her profound insight into women’s issues in the trucking industry. She is well known for her role as founder and Chairwoman of Women in Trucking (www.womenintrucking.org) and author of the book Marriage in the Long Run.

Talented singer/songwriter Rob Anthony returns for his second annual ATW Convention performance. Rob performed his hit song “Down The Road” to a rapt audience at the 2007 A Truckers Wife Convention in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This touching tribute to truckers is becoming an ATW (as well as an industry) anthem. Rob is a Wisconsin native with eclectic musical roots and a real understanding of the trucking industry. Rob recently released his third solo album, Inside You and Inside Me, which again proves that good things come in threes! Find out more about Rob Anthony at www.robanthonymusic.com or www.myspace.com/truckerwives.

Singer, songwriter, Dallas native and 3,000,000 mile trucker Don Whatley will make his ATW Convention debut. Don wrote and recorded his current album, American Trucker, while on the road - doing what truckers do best : keeping the nation going! His honest and heartfelt songs are relevant to many in the trucking industry. More information about Don Whatley and his music is available at www.myspace.com/donwhatley

A Truckers Wife Convention is dedicated to empowering the women and families of truck drivers. Encouraging stronger support systems for the heroes on the road, in turn creates a healthier and mightier driving force for the entire freight industry.
