Truckers helping truckers: UTDA changing the world one trucker at a time

Our own staff reporter Marianne Wimer, followed up on part of an Associated Press article. Robert Griffith shared his concerns about being able to afford what some of us take for granted- like satellite radio and even a prom dress for his daughter. Marianne tells the story, how the UTDA fulfilled a need for this hard working trucker.

Alligator on the Zipper

Women truck drivers aren't usually thought of as American folk heroes, yet the seven women portrayed in the documentary film Alligator on the Zipper evoke the qualities of modern day cowboys. Courageous, tough and with a fierce love of freedom, they heed the call of the road that speaks to their independent spirit.

ATW member, Tammara, will be doing the MS Walk 2008 on May 10. Join her team or donate to the cause.
What is MS? Having multiple sclerosis means that you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are different, and devastating, for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.
